Fall has officially arrived, and it’s one of the best times of year to make memories with the whole family. From pumpkin patches to harvest festivals, Los Angeles and the surrounding areas have plenty of seasonal traditions that are perfect for kids and parents alike.
If you’re looking for something festive to do this season, here are three of my favorite family-friendly fall activities near the Westside:
Just a short drive from Brentwood and Santa Monica, Underwood Family Farms is a fall favorite. Their Fall Harvest Festival runs through October and is packed with seasonal fun:
It’s the perfect spot if you’re looking for a full day of farm-style fun with the kids — and plenty of pumpkins to bring home.
If you want something a little closer to the Westside, Mr. Bones Pumpkin Patch in Culver City is an LA classic. Known for its whimsical pumpkin houses, giant slides, and kid-friendly activities, it’s more than just a pumpkin patch — it’s an experience.
Families love the petting zoo, bounce houses, and colorful photo ops. For many locals, visiting Mr. Bones has become an annual tradition that kids look forward to every fall.
For one of Southern California’s biggest pumpkin celebrations, head east to the Cal Poly Pomona Pumpkin Festival. This event features:
It’s an amazing way to experience a classic harvest festival — and maybe even pick out the largest pumpkin you’ve ever seen!
Whether you’re carving pumpkins, getting lost in a corn maze, or just enjoying the crisp fall air, these three spots are a must for creating family memories this season.
As much as I love helping families discover seasonal fun, I also love helping them find the perfect home on the Westside. If you’re thinking about buying or selling in Santa Monica, Brentwood, or West LA this fall, I’d love to chat and help guide you through the process.
Happy fall, and I hope you get the chance to visit one (or all!) of these local favorites!
